Report Writing क्या है?
Report किसी समस्या (issue) या घटना की जाँच का वर्णन होती है। यह किसी भी मुद्दे का तथ्यात्मक विश्लेषण या परिक्षण भी हो सकती है। Report का उद्देश्य किसी घटना (Incident), प्रसंग (Event) के अनुभव प्रस्तुत करना है। Reports पाठकों में जागरूकता (Awareness) लाती है, सामाजिक समस्याओं को आवाज प्रदान करती है और सम्बद्ध प्राधिकारी को समाधान करने में सहायता प्रदान करती है।
Report Writing के लिए महत्त्वपूर्ण बिन्दु
*Report को लिखने तथा उसे आकर्षक बनाने के लिए हमें निम्न बातों का ध्यान रखना चाहिए
* एक अच्छी report सभी आवश्यक जानकारियों को स्पष्टता के साथ प्रकट करती है।
*इसे व्यवहारिक और व्यवसायिक तरीके से लिखना चाहिए।
*इसे Indirect speech और passive voice में लिखा जाना चाहिए।
*इसे Third person में लिखना चाहिए और मैं (i), मेरा (Me) या तुम्हारा (You) जैसा शब्द का प्रयोग करने से बचना चाहिए।
*इसमें अलंकारिक (Ornamental language) भाषा का प्रयोग नहीं करना चाहिए।
विषय में क्या, कब, कहाँ, क्यों, कौन, कैसे,
आँखों देखा हाल, क्रियाकलाप/दुर्घटना आदि को शामिल करना चाहिए।
*Report को लिखने का उद्देश्य और जिन स्त्रोतों (Sources) से यह लिखी गई है, उन्हें प्रारम्भ में लिखा जाना चाहिए।
*इसे उचित शीर्षक और सरल भाषा में कई छोटे-छोटे paragraph में लिखना चाहिए जिसे समझना आसान हो।

Last week on my way to school I witnessed an incident of chain snatching near the school gate. A young man on a motorbike robbed a woman of her gold chain while she was walking with her daughter around 7:45 AM to drop her to school. Her daughter is a student of Class V of our school.
The woman immediately raised an alarm by screaming very loudly. This caught the attention of some senior students of our school. These brave students of Class XII chased the snatcher, caught hold of him and beat him till he fell unconscious. Meanwhile the woman had phoned the police using her cellphone.
Soon two policemen in a patrol car arrived and handcuffed the thief. After taking a photo with the gold chain in the thief's hand, they handed back the chain to the lady and took down her details so that she could be called for giving evidence. They informed the lady that this thief was a well-known criminal and had recently escaped from the local jail. They also thanked the boys who had helped them catch the criminal.
The daring act of these five boys won the appreciation of the police, our principal and teachers who applauded their act of courage. Our school authorities have decided to honour them with certificates in appreciation of their brave act.

पिछले हफ्ते स्कूल जाते समय मैंने स्कूल के गेट के पास चेन स्नेचिंग की एक घटना देखी। सुबह करीब 7.45 बजे जब वह अपनी बेटी को स्कूल छोड़ने के लिए जा रही थी, तभी बाइक सवार एक युवक ने उसकी सोने की चेन लूट ली। उसकी बेटी हमारे स्कूल की पांचवीं कक्षा की छात्रा है।
महिला ने फौरन जोर-जोर से चिल्लाकर शोर मचा दिया। इसने हमारे स्कूल के कुछ वरिष्ठ छात्रों का ध्यान आकर्षित किया। बारहवीं कक्षा के इन बहादुर छात्रों ने झपटमार का पीछा करते हुए उसे पकड़ लिया और तब तक पीटा जब तक वह बेहोश होकर गिर नहीं गया। इस बीच महिला ने अपने सेलफोन से पुलिस को फोन कर दिया था।
जल्द ही एक गश्ती कार में दो पुलिसकर्मी पहुंचे और चोर को हथकड़ी लगा दी। चोर के हाथ में सोने की चेन के साथ फोटो लेने के बाद उन्होंने चेन महिला को वापस कर दी और उसका विवरण नीचे ले लिया ताकि उसे सबूत देने के लिए बुलाया जा सके. उन्होंने महिला को बताया कि यह चोर एक जाना-माना अपराधी है और हाल ही में स्थानीय जेल से भागा था। उन्होंने उन लड़कों का भी धन्यवाद किया जिन्होंने अपराधी को पकड़ने में उनकी मदद की थी।
इन पांचों लड़कों के साहसिक कार्य ने पुलिस, हमारे प्रधानाचार्य और शिक्षकों की सराहना की, जिन्होंने उनके साहस के कार्य की सराहना की। हमारे स्कूल के अधिकारियों ने उनके बहादुरीपूर्ण कार्य की सराहना करते हुए उन्हें प्रमाण पत्र देकर सम्मानित करने का फैसला किया है।

Mangalore, 25th December, 20XX. An Air India Express airliner crashed and burst into flames outside an airport in South India killing 130 people, many thought to be Indian migrant workers returning home from Dubai. The Boeing 737-800 appeared to skid off the table-top runway in rain at Mangalore Airport in Karnataka state and plunged into the forest below. Flames spouted from the wreckage as rescue workers fought to bring the fire under control. Eight people from among 166 passengers and crew on board were rescued and shifted to local hospitals. Survivors said that they thought they heard what sounded like a tyre bursting just before the crash. Officials said that all 130 bodies had been recovered, some burned beyond recognition. The Minister for Civil Aviation said that he felt 'morally responsible' for the crash. He conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families.

Gorakhpur, 15th March, 20XX In a daring robbery, armed criminals shot at employees of
the State Bank of India (SBI) and looted? 60 lakh from them. A security guard of the bank sustained a bullet injury in the incident. He is recovering in the city hospital. He has identified one of the dacoits as being an employee of the bank.
The incident took place at about 1:40 PM when the Branch Staff of SBI were on their way back to the branch carrying the cash withdrawn from the regional office of the Reserve Bank in a metal trunk. Their vehicle was intercepted by a Bolero and at least five miscreants got down and fired in the air. They then smashed one side glass window of the bank's
vehicle, dragged the driver out and thrashed him. Other security personnel and the cashier were also roughed up and shot at. Terrorising the SBI staff, the dacoits fled after snatching their mobile phones and the metal trunk containing the cash. Gorakhpur SP said that a hunt is on for the dacoits who had prior knowledge about the cash movement.

A group of students staged a protest against the death of Maharashtra MLA's daughter after being allegedly thrashed to death in Nehru Nagar. This protest at the Union Home Minister's residence followed the earlier demonstration held in front of the Nehru Nagar Police Station, under whose jurisdiction the Nehru Nagar areas falls. The 19 year old student Surabhi singh was allegedly beaten up by some shopkeepers following an altercation sparked by their taunts on his hairstyle.
Police reached the spot and brokered a compromise, after which Tania returned home with friends. However, he did not wake up the next day and was declared brought dead at Bombay Hospital. Protestors in large numbers gathered outside the Nehru Nagar Police Station and raised slogans against the police. Police have registered a case of murder and are probing the matter. A magisterial inquiry has also been ordered.

Nearly 500 dwellings were gutted last evening at 5 PM in a fire that broke out in Lajpat Nagar. 40 people are reported dead while another 80 are admitted to hospital in a critical condition. A lot of hutments of the area were using plastic sheets as waterproofing for their roofs and these may have caused the fire to spread. The original cause of the fire is still unknown. According to an official, the piles of plastic fed the fire which turned wild. Rescue workers were seen carrying the dead and the injured to the nearby hospitals. The fire rendered a large number of families shelterless and without food. Many of the casualties occurred due to asphyxiation of the victims. A large number of the injured were having more than 80% burns, and thus were unlikely to survive. The Chief Minister of Delhi visited the area and ordered an enquiry to establish the cause of the fire. He also announced grants in the form of cash and kind.

The India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan takes place every year from 14th to 27th November.
New Delhi, 15th November, 20XX. This year, the fair was inaugurated by the Prime Minister. The theme of the fair this time was automobile industry. Well-known Indian companies like Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Eicher, Mahindra, Hero, Bajaj, Kinetic and others had large stalls managed by knowledgeable staff, who impressed all the visitors.
Apart from Indian automobile companies, many automobile companies from abroad participated in this fair. Automobile giants such as Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Audi etc launched their luxury cars for the Indian market. Other than automobiles, there were stalls displaying the artifacts, electronics, textiles, etc. from the participating
countries. Pavilions of different states could be seen. The exhibition showcased India's progress in numerous fields. All the stalls drew large crowds and their exhibits were sold in quick time.
Such fairs help in strengthening business and cultural ties with other countries and, thus, should be promoted.

इस मेले में भारतीय ऑटोमोबाइल कंपनियों के अलावा विदेशों की कई ऑटोमोबाइल कंपनियों ने भाग लिया। फोर्ड, बीएमडब्ल्यू, मर्सिडीज, ऑडी आदि ऑटोमोबाइल दिग्गजों ने भारतीय बाजार के लिए अपनी लग्जरी कारों को लॉन्च किया। ऑटोमोबाइल के अलावा, भाग लेने वालों से कलाकृतियों, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, वस्त्रों आदि को प्रदर्शित करने वाले स्टॉल थे
देशों। अलग-अलग राज्यों के मंडप देखे जा सकते थे। प्रदर्शनी ने कई क्षेत्रों में भारत की प्रगति को प्रदर्शित किया। सभी स्टालों पर बड़ी भीड़ उमड़ी और उनके प्रदर्शन बहुत कम समय में बिक गए।
इस तरह के मेले अन्य देशों के साथ व्यापार और सांस्कृतिक संबंधों को मजबूत करने में मदद करते हैं और इस प्रकार इसे बढ़ावा दिया जाना चाहिए।

Visit to a Historical Place

History Society of our school had organised a visit to Bhojpur temple in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh from 24th March to 26th March, 20XX, Our two History teachers accompanied us on the train journey to Bhopal on 24th evening. We reached there next morning.
In Bhopal we visited a hotel to change and get fresh. After having breakfast we took a bus to this historical temple town. Bhojpur is a small town surrounded by beautiful hills. The river Betwa flows nearby. The temple of Lord Shiva stands on a small hill near the river. The temple was built by Raja Bhoj, The structure is built with finely cut rocks kept one over the other.
It was really amazing to look at a fine example of ancient Indian architecture and sculpture. There is a huge Shivalinga built on a large platform in the temple. It is one of the largest Shivalingas in the world. The monument has rightly been adopted by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
After enjoying a packed lunch in the garden near the temple, we returned to our hotel. At night, we caught the return train. It had been a memorable visit.

किसी ऐतिहासिक स्थल का भ्रमण

हमारे स्कूल की हिस्ट्री सोसाइटी ने 24 मार्च से 26 मार्च, 20XX तक मध्य प्रदेश के रायसेन जिले में भोजपुर मंदिर की यात्रा का आयोजन किया था, हमारे दो इतिहास के शिक्षक 24 तारीख की शाम भोपाल की ट्रेन यात्रा पर हमारे साथ थे। हम अगली सुबह वहाँ पहुँचे।
भोपाल में हम चेंज करने और फ्रेश होने के लिए एक होटल में गए। नाश्ता करने के बाद हमने इस ऐतिहासिक मंदिर शहर के लिए बस ली। भोजपुर खूबसूरत पहाड़ियों से घिरा एक छोटा सा शहर है। पास में बेतवा नदी बहती है। भगवान शिव का मंदिर नदी के पास एक छोटी सी पहाड़ी पर स्थित है। मंदिर का निर्माण राजा भोज ने करवाया था, यह संरचना बारीक कटी हुई चट्टानों को एक के ऊपर एक रखकर बनाई गई है।

Book Week Organised by Subhansh, Head Boy,
Meerut Public School, Meerut Rama Krishna School in Meerut Cantt organised the annual Book Week' from 1st to 7th November, 20XX in the school premises. The idea of celebrating the 'Book Week' was mooted by Ms Shalini Taneja, senior teacher in English.
The Book Week was aimed at promoting the book reading habit amongst school children, for a better understanding of English literature. The Book Week brought together the high profile works and new editions of prominent writers from India and abroad. Besides the books, magazines, maps, teaching aids and computer software were also on display. One of the main attractions of the celebration was an interactive session with the eminent and prolific writer, Mr Vikram Seth.
Mr Seth gave an inspiring speech to the students, motivating them to focus on creative writing. Book covers featuring the famous titles of his books, attractively designed by student artists, were also displayed. Many Inter-house competitions like literary quiz, book character, fancy dress, debate, poster-making etc were held during the week. The winners were awarded by the school Principal, Mr Kapoor, in an award ceremony organised on the last day of the Book Week.
